We are starting to build up a history of the hill and the surrounding area through stories and photos. If you have anything you would like to share about your experiences of visiting the Braid Hills over the years please let us know. And if you have any photos of the hill and surrounding area, old or more recent, we'd love to see these too. We will share them with your permission and always credit them. Wildflower planting
We got a gorgeous sunny day on Saturday 18th April for planting wildflower plugs donated by the City of Edinburgh, Inch Nursery. We were helped by the local scouts and a few other volunteers. Here are some photos of the busy planters... #Edinburgh #braidhills #wildflowers

Unveiling of the new view indicator
On 1 November 2014, we held a ceremony to unveil the new Braid Hills '7 Hills Outlook' View Indicator. It was a hugely successful event with a great turnout and fantastic weather. We were joined by the Lord Provost, who carried out the unveiling ceremony, and the families of the gentlemen who conceived the original View Indicator, the late John C Bartholomew and George S Russell. The City of Edinburgh Council provided the funding for the new View Indicator. The Friends group
